The mystery is killing us but rumor is that the iPhone 4s/5 is coming to us in September. Already the rumor mill is doing its work of adding mystery to this gadget. The iPhone 5 was received with some indifference. Forbes has just told us that the iPhone 5 is in fact the iPhone 4S with all sorts of juicy features to tempt us. For example it is slated to have an A5 chip as well AS HSPA support. The cosmetic changes are not expected to fall within the major category but it will certainly have better cameras. In addition you can look forward to an A5 dual core processer that has distinguished itself in the delivery of first class images and phone calls. Apple is planning to announce the Sprint, China Mobile and T-Mobile as the new carriers for this gadget. The business hacks are telling us that the delay allows the company to create the right networks for the clients.
Mrogan Stanley’s technology analyst, Katy Huberty, believes Apple will begin product of the new iPhone in mid August. Huberty, told Forbes that, the handset ‘will launch to consumers sometime near the end of the third calendar quarter, most likely September or October.” The iPhone is expected to be priced cheaper like how the ipad 2 pricing took as by surprise. This is due to better logistics and technology which allows Apple to reduce cost by around 6%.
Mobile technology introduced with mystery and suspense
Consumers can look forward to an upgrade of the iPhone 3GS technological suite. Bloggers are getting pretty fed up with the suspense and with good reason. The sources required anonymity but they were prepared to say that production would begin between July and August. Suppliers based in Taiwan will play an important role in completing the gadget. For example we hear that Largan Precision, Wintek Corp and Foxconn Technology will be involved. Hon Hai Precision Industry will do the assembly. Josh Ong has regurgitated the same rumors but with the addition of an 8 megapixel rear camera. The CDMA and GSM models benefit from a Qualcomm baseband anyway. They also have a much better antenna.
The earthquake in Japan meant that the launch of the iPhone 4s/5 had to be pulled back for a few weeks. Some reports indicate that key components such as processors and displays are not yet finalized. Guesses include 64 GB of storage although that comes as standard on most of these models. A larger screen might be appreciated by the customers but portability will be an absolutely must. Cloud based functionality is an expectation although it remains to be seen whether that will materialize. We can certainly expect a metal back; they hardly ever change that formula. The World Wide Developers Conference might also give us some additional clues.
A low down on the expected features
Setting the innuendo aside the storage capacity cannot be less than 64GB given the fact that previous versions have always made an upgrade. They are offering the strongest signal in the iPhone range. Face recognition is likely to reduce the risks of theft. A long battery life and a talk time of up to 14 hours could be a winner. There might also be a video chat facility on the 4G network. A shatter and scratch resistant screen would be the icing on the cake. The use of inbuilt GPS technology is virtually inevitable and there has been some indication that they might even bring in an iOS 5 program.
